I’m so excited to announce to all my Sweet Fuzz readers that I have started a new blog, bohemiankate.com. This new blog has been in the works for over a year and it’s finally up! I’ll be writing about diy projects, recipes, how to make homemade skincare and of course, fashion.
I just want you to know how much I appreciate all of you! You have made the last three years of writing for Sweet Fuzz so incredible. Now it’s time to move on to other ventures, but I hope that I can still continue to engage and inspire you on my new blog. I know you will love it!
I’ve been working so, so hard on getting Bohemian Kate up and running, and nothing makes me happier than hearing from my readers, so please come by and say hi :)
All my love, Kate
I love unusual pieces and I think this green coat is amazing. I like how she paired it with the knee high socks and pink clutch.
Have to make it a quick post, have a ton of stuff due for school tomorrow night, so I’m working like a dog to get it all done. Hope everyone else is having a great Friday! xoxo, Kate

I just can’t seem to get enough of classic stripes. They never go out of style and always look clean and fun. Beautiful photo! I love the whole look. Once again, Jak and Jil makes me sooo happy. Tommy Ton is a photography genius to me, I love his work.
On another note, one year from today I’m getting married :) Can’t wait!!!!! After everything that I have experienced in the dating world, all I can say is that dreams do come true. ….xoxo, Kate

I thought this looks was very pretty against the green background. I luv the pink shirt, I just bought one just like that recently while thrifting. All together a fabulous example of street style, plus I just adore shorts and boots together. Check out her other photos at the link below.
Hope everyone is having a lovely week! xoxo, Kate

I’m loving button down shirts with shorts lately, so I love this look here. Especially the patterned shorts with the boots. Super sleepy tonight! Have a really busy week with school so I’m going to hit the sack and get some much needed rest…nitey night!

I absolutely love this look. I’m really into sheer dresses and layering underneath. When she mentioned on her blog that she got three of these chiffon dress from American Apparel, I was super excited only to find out that they are $70 a piece! What really makes the dress is how she styles it, because otherwise it’s shapeless as you can see on the American Apparel site. Anyhoo, I think it’s a great look, but since I’m on a tight budget at the moment I think I can find something similar at a vintage or thrift store…or I could learn how to sew.
What do you think, is it worth the money? xoxo, Kate

This is from last week when Athan and I went mini golfing and I won! The whole day was really fun, went out for drinks and appetizers, then mini golf and then dinner at this super good Turkish restaurant in Encinitas.

I’m definitely a rocker girl at heart so I think that’s why I love this outfit. The pink skinny jeans are hot! And although I’m not much into crop tops anymore (like I posted yesterday), I love the Guns and Roses shirt. The whole look is very rocker bohemian…I like :)

This look is so cute. I love anything 60s or 70s and this photo really has a like a Gidget vibe to it. It must be the hair…plus, I love that it’s just denim and casual. When I think about where fashion was 10 years ago (crop tops and Jay Lo jeans is what I think of) I’m so glad that fashion isn’t all about being overtly sexy right now. The older I get the more I love a more modest look.

The colors of this photo caught my eye, I love the opposites of blue and orange. Hanneli kind of reminds me of a 60s bombshell in this photo. The orange lipstick that matches her shorts, luv it. Still one of my favorite street style blogs. Her photos and her style are gorgeous and inspiring.

I’m already getting excited for fall so I thought this was a perfect look to get ready for the season. The weather by the beach here in San Diego has been rather fall like despite it being August so I guess it’s gotten me in the mood. What I like most are the shoes! I love the platforms!

I really love the look of this photo. A more modern dress in the country…I think that’s what drew me to this look because I love mixing something antique with something new. Very inspiring!

I love this modern version of the black Tiffany dress. The cutout in the arms and the prominent shoulder makes it stand out. This photo is by Vanessa Jackman of Clementine for grazia.it. There are some other amazing street style photos on Vanessa’s blog, so be sure to check them out in the link below!

How cute is this outfit? I absolutely love the floral kimono pattern. I also really like how she paired the chunky gold necklace and bangles with kimono and clutch. Street style perfection!

New style blog alert! I really, really like this new blog that I just came across called According to Annika. Beautiful photos and lots and lots of inspiration. How magical are these boots? They’re by Jeffrey Campbell and perfect for fall. I love how Annika paired them with the knee high socks, really cute. Fall boots might be my favorite style item ever…I do sort of have an obsession. These boots also come in black and tan, which I think is my favorite.
So after a long day at class and work, I am starving. I think red curry with veggies is on the menu…have a wonderful night everyone :) xoxo, Kate

These photos are also from Sunday, just playing around with my camera. Athan took this picture of me sitting by the tree. I was taking pictures of everything in site trying to learn how to work my camera…so I decided to capture my sandals. I swear, I always get the funniest comments about these sandals, but I love them. It was a day in the backyard so I was into some casual style, simple jeans skirt and a silk white tank. It was just so peaceful in the backyard, I wish we had one of our own…

So yesterday I decided to break out my camera (that I haven’t used in forever) and have some photo fun. We were hanging out at my fiance’s cousin’s house, enjoying that delicious Belgian beer and some of the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had. Since Athan, my fiance was looking sooo cute, I made him be my model for a bit. I must say, I thought he looked too adorable for words in his v-neck and fedora. We had some fun taking photos and found this super cool beetle that at first scared the living daylights out of me, but then realized he was a friendly beetle. Thanks to Athan for participating in the backyard street style photo session…had such a fun time yesterday!

Wow, what a busy weekend. Had a great time with Athan’s family. Just hanging in the backyard, it was a beautiful day and had some great Belgian beer thanks to Clint. And thanks to Jake, Tiffany and little Audrey for having us over…
Just got home a little while ago and pretty sleepy…just wanted to fit in a little post. How cool is the Kimono she’s wearing? xoxo, Kate

I have never thought to do this before and I then I saw these photos! So adorable, I must try it out sometime…I’m always looking for little ways to stand out from the crowd and so I think this would be perfect :) I definitely have never seen this as a fashion trend where I live. Love the flowy blouse, especially the embroidered edges. The whole outfit looks very vintage and I could use some vintage inspiration right now!
Headed to a class on how to write an awesome business plan…and I’m actually really, really excited about this :) Hope everyone is having a kick ass Saturday!!! xoxo, Kate

I thought this look was so cute and different. There are many things going on here that I love…I’m really inspired by the 70s sunglasses. I would love to get a pair of big oversize tortoise shell glasses. She definitely reminds me of a young Yoko Ono. The photo in itself is beautiful with the sun highlighting the white dress, plus the huge box for a purse is really neat. Once again, totally inspired…
Have the day off from work and I’m working on some fun filled projects I can’t wait to share with you all… xoxo, Kate
